Yep

Always loved Ambient, was the easiest stuff to listen to.

Feels a little darker in the drones n tones for an april track... but the track alone is great. You did a great job smoothing things over, nothing peaks!

Thanks for the words, mate! :)
Yes, I've been enjoying this type of music a lot lately, so the mood struck...
I know it's darker, but that's just what I wanted, as the weather has been rainy and not so sunny-ish out as of yet...

But, I'm glad you liked it!

Peace!

Aw sick!

Wasn't seeing that drop coming at 00:54, that was nice!

I really dig the work, sounds really crisp, perhaps I'd tune down the highs just a little bit but its not really necessary..

Keep it up!

Thanks a lot! Checked out your stuff and was quite impressed; it's great to get a review from someone in the business.

Not bad

I like where it's going, but I wish you'd step away from the oh-so-bland hip-hop-esque breaks and consider something breakbeat or even simple 4 on the floor son.

Rawrthaas responds:

I already do enough breakbeat stuff, got tired of four to the floor long ago. Was treading new waters with this, really

Thanks for da review

Ohh sick track.

This is a chill track, I wicked digg the stand-fast mood it has, the melody going on in the back is a little stale but the bass just keeps it moving all the same. Solid. Could use a bit more of a hook in the beginning. I could definitely see people skipping this bad boy if they didn't give it a whole listen.

MTLane responds:

WICKED DIGG!! AWESOME thanks bro!

Nice!

I feel like the reese needs a little more oomph to it, but other than that it's pretty slick!

TiGeR responds:

Glad you liked it! About the bass, well I decided to cut out some mid frequencies so that the bass wouldn't steal too much place in the mix. I guess I maybe took out too much :p, but I'll keep that in mind for the future!

Thanks for the review and glad you enjoyed the song :)

Dammnnn sick

This is what DNB is Newgrounds, take a nice look at how a breakbeat is supposed sound.

Just so you know, I am mixing this song tonight on my live show, The Technical Lounge, on www.dnbradio.com. !0:00 PM EST to Midnight. I'll have a podcast available after the show, but I hope you get this soon enough to tune in for your track ! :)

DesoFreelanceRecords responds:

Thanks man !

Im glad You decided to include that tune for Your mix . I will check Your podcasts If I find some free time. Now I cant even drink coffee. Always in rush...

Hmm

It's pretty interesting... I like it!

Though it could definitely use more structure, but I don't know what your plans are for the track (do you want it spinning in a club or used in a game on NG?)

My advice, try and create a more Dnb-styled break pattern and keep the one you have for change-ups or breakdowns, which could help create length for the track. Bring the bass kick up a little bit in the frequency, it blends too much with a sub-bass (rather it sounds like it's trying to do that, or you don't really have a bass drum kick besides the sub one).

Good stuff, if you could lengthen this a bit and focus on structure some more.. maybe I'd pick up this track and drop it in my DnB live mixes on dnbradio.

Thanks for the feedback. First of all, I have absolutely no plans for this track. It was basically just an experiment, I'll try to improve it based on your advice.

Thoughts

How long have you been producing for?

It seems like I can tell where you're at right now, because this track is pretty reminiscent of myself in certain ways (at least some bits of me presently, mostly in the past).

Some tips -

Transitions could use a better tie,

Try and break up the track into a song structure, and do it with a strong transition tie (use less crashes and use them sparingly at the end of a Chorus for example).

Bassline, try EQing it so you don't have so many instruments blending in the same frequencies, that way your track sounds more defined.

Repetition is always good, but try working your instruments, for example the intro melody, into a longer progression.

Drums seem pretty good, the bass kick seems a bit weak, if it were deeper it'd be pretty slick.

Keep it up mate,

I've only been seriously producing for a little over a year now, I'm working on trying to better my music. your tips should help a lot.
thanks alot.

To Do Folders..

Man I hear that,

I have so many tracks I need to get back to haha.

Just don't delete tracks like this, even if you feel they're good as dead.. because some day you might go back and just make magic happen

Keep it up,

DJ Harlock
